[nfb-talk] Chapter meetings on the Sabbath for Jewish blind?

Hello Joseph,
My chapter has a member who is a Seventh Day Adventist. These folks
also have their Sabbath on Saturday. So unfortunately, he doesn't come
to chapter meetings, because they are held on Saturdays.

As the chapter runs on democratic principles, the vote for when to
hold the meeting is decided by the majority. It's really no different
for people who, for example, can't get child-care or transportation on
a Saturday. It's just one reason of many why Saturdays don't suit some
people

Regards,

Heather

Subject: [nfb-talk] Chapter meetings on the Sabbath for Jewish blind?

Has anyone ever encountered blind people who are Jewish and have a
problem attending NFB chapter meetings on a Saturday? Has this come
up in other chapters before? How did the chapter take these things
into account?

Thanks,

Joseph
