[nfb-talk] Convention

I dare say that trying to implement such a scheme would leave NFB open to
all sorts of political hanky-panky. Reminds me of an FS story wherein people
wore a device on their wrists that allowed instant polling of all the
citizenry. There was a referendum once a week on an issue and voting was
mandatory. Turns out that these plebacites ultimately lead to more
conformity and tyranny of the majority then would have been the case with
present methods.

Besides, implicit in your question is the assumption that NFB does *not*
represent the views of a majority of its membership. I will not enter into a
discussion on this topic as your views on it are well-known and I rather
doubt either of us will have his mind changed by such a dialogue.

Take care.

Mike

Right, and I'm sure that helps. But don't you think the NFB would be more
likely to represent the views of its members if it allowed everyone to vote?
