[nfb-talk] Convention in Orlando for 5 years

That, and there were always issues with settling accounts after a flight --
also, I think airlines lost trust in their flight attendants not to pocket
some of the cash... Who can blame them when their pensions were suck dry by
the corporate types? Personally, I'd rather pay cash.

Terry:

One is not asked to sign when paying by credit card on an airplane. If one
thinks about it, the practice of signing credit card receipts is antiquated
since one never does th@ on-line.

As for the reason, I think airlines simply don't want to have to handle cash
anymore. Before airlines started the current practice, they began asking for
exact change and I suspect too few people had it.

hand and the lady asked me for my credit card. She could tell I was
shocked, so she gave it to me free. Ho crazy. Cash is more reliable than a
credit card and who can sign a receipt on a moving plain? My bag was on the
floor and I could not reach it with my seat belt on. Anyone know the
reasoning behind this? Coming back, I bought my lunch and took it on the
plain.
