Dear Alicia,

There should be some Publix food stores in the area, in some of
the shopping
centers along International Drive, along which a shuttle bus
runs. The
hotel may have a hotel shuttle van as well, that can take you to
one.
I am sure that the local Orlando NFB chapter will have that
information
available at the information table or you can get it from the
hotel's
conseare.
If nothing else, my wive is planning to make a run to a store, to
stock the
fridge in our room and maybe she can help you out.
There are lots of stores, shopping centers and many major
atractions along
the I-Drive as it is called in orlando.
I live about 3 hours south of orlando in the city of Boca Raton,
but I have
been to orlando many times to go to the theme parks and to visit
my daughter
who attended UCF some years ago.
It should not be a problem.
I hope this info helps.

David Evans, NFBF and GD Jack.

Could anyone help this lady out? I think David Evans might know
since he's
 in the area.

Hi, everyone. I apologize if their has already been a topic
about this,
 or
if someone has written information on it that I have missed.
But, since I
 haven't seen anything, I have a question.

Often at National convention I like to find somewhere to buy
some
 groceries
to keep in my room for the week. It saves me a ton of food
costs, as well
as from waiting in long lines for the hotel restaurants. I know
others do
the same at times. Does anyone know if there is a grocery store
anywhere
near the hotel, to buy things at? Or, in past years,
information has been
passed around of places that deliver groceries if ordered. If
anyone has
any info, please reply, or send me a message off list. Thanks
in advance.

 Alicia
