[nfb-talk] vendors & Rozen Hotels

I think snackpacks can be considered pretty-much dead. Hotels -- *all*
hotels -- are becoming increasingly persnickety insofar as guests selling
food items is concerned. The thinking is that in giving us the great
convention rates we get, they have the right to be compensated by insisting
that we buy food from hotel food concessions. IMO that's quite reasonable.

Bottom line: Ed, start saving your sheckels for next year's convention *now*
and consider making a grocery run. One can live a long time on ritz crackers
and peanut butter.

And Joshua, there were plenty more cheap restaurant options at the rosen
Center this year than there ever were in Dallas.

Mike

that won't happen. We have to live with the rules they set.
The contracts have been signed Joshua far in advance.

Wow!
Since this has happened, the NFB needs to have an emergency conference
call/board meeting, and decide a new place to hold the conventions!
Let's go back to Dallas!
Blessings, Joshua

This year in Orlando the Vendors' Division was not allowed to sell its
"snack packs" in the huckster room. Didn't this also happen in 2011? I
really count on the cheap snacks to make my stay at National affordable.
Does this mean we will not have the snack packs available for the next five
years?
