My name is Terry Powers and I work for the National Institute of Health which is under Health and Human Services.  I have gotten my assistance through DOORS and CAP.  In the last year, I have found other blind people, working at NIH and one is mentoring me.  I have a great, caring, tech person.  Things have improved, in the last few years.  I have been there for over 27 years.

do you work at hhs? If so where?
I was wondering because I'm trying to get a job in health and human services or somewhere government related.
Please email me off list and tell me of your experiences if you have a minute to share. What do you do and are you accomodated well?
Any software accessibility issues? The government is worse and worse about procuring inaccessible software and disregarding the section 508 mandate.

I've had federal internships through wrp and word of mouth but did not get enough real experience in them.
