I haven't read the book personally, but plan to. I seem to recall that it was mentioned in the Monitor as a book with a positive portrayal of blindness.

The book is apparently very popular, but I tend to be rather suspicious of books about the blind written by sighted authors. Has anybody read it, and is it any good? thanks for any opinions.
