[nfb-talk] Here he comes...

Good Morning,
Here is an idea:
Trump may betray his voter base. At that point, we should make sure we are sympathetic to those voters. However, th ere needs to be a plan in place, how to help those displaced workers, who voted for Trump.

I just feel we should look ahead.

Marianne

Two things.

1. I don't understand why the Senate impeached Former President Clinton for lying about cheating on his wife, when the Bushes did way worse things to this country.

2. I don't feel Trump's apology was a real or sincere one. He said, "I'm not proud of it, but it's just locker room talk." A real apology does not have a "but" in it; the person apologizing takes full responsibility for what they did. When President Trump said "but," I cringed because he was taking the blame off himself...

Yes, I do have to agree, Carter wasn't effective as President, Bill was a slimeball, his wife wouldn't have been any better! Maybe if Bernie Sanders had won the primary, things might have been different, but people are just tired of the same old thing, broken promises. Mr. Trump may be the same way, but he's been in office for one day. If, after his first hundred days things are worse, then I'll be complaining about him, but give the man a chance! He did apologize for that video of what he called "locker room talk" that was also years ago, and people do change

Well, I don't know how old you are, but Mr. Carter was not really a good president. He was a nice man, but a bad president. Bill was a decent president, but kind of a slimey guy, and Obama, in my opinion, would have been a good president if he had been allowed. He was stopped at every turn from doing anything worth while by those who refused to see past the nose on their own face. I remember when the government shut down a few years ago, it was mainly over the "Affordable Care Act" and the budget. Congress fussed and fought and changed the Affordable Care act until it became what it is today. They wanted to be sure that it was crappy enough so that when people remember they'll say That Obama Care... etc, etc. If the original bill had passed, and congress wasn't so egotistical and selfish, we'd be in a better place.
The new president however did not have to be a democrat. We had good choices. We had good decent, worth while republican choices, but America did not vote them in in the primaries. They wanted shock and entertainment.
We'll see how they feel in a few months.
