How about free conference call, every other month and meet in person the other months. Members could contribute to to a donation and mabe you could get some volenteers to drive for those 6 meetings.

If there is no transportation, people cannot find their own unless they have relatives to drive them. Is there any way you could help all the members to go on skype and have the meetings on skype?

Subject: [nfb-talk] Transportation Plans for Hard to Access Chapters

Hello all,

I'm trying to start a chapter in a part of Virginia where public transportation is very limited. We're not exactly rural, but transportation is a big reason why the chapter has failed to start in times past. Can someone recommend transportation plans they utilized in such a scenario?
Also, to what extent is transportation the responsibility of the chapter, and to what extent should the membership find their own way to the meeting location? Thank you kindly in advance for your assistance.

Regards,

Joe
