Subject: [NFBA-Phoenix] Reminder Deadline Approaching: Presenting The Chili Days of Summer

It's summer in Arizona. The weather is really hot and of course you're looking for a way to beat the heat. Why not come inside enjoying your friends for The Chili Days of Summer? It's an epic chili cook off sponsored by the NFB Phoenix chapter. The winner of the cook off not only gets bragging rights but also would win $50 in cash.

When: Saturday, August 5, 2017 from noon until 2 PM immediately following the NFB Phoenix chapter meeting

Where: S AAA VI kitchen at 4222 East Thomas Rd. in Phoenix

How it works:
Anyone interested is welcome to enter the competition. Cookers must provide all of their own ingredients and their own slow cooker pot. You should have already made the chili by the time you come to the competition. So the slow cooker will just be here keeping your chili warm. There is no cost to enter as a chili cooker.

Everyone is welcome to be a judge/tester for the competition. To be a taster it is an eight dollar donation which gets you a small cup that will allow you to taste all of the entries. If you find that you really love one or more Chili's you can pay an additional three dollar fee per batch of chili for a larger bowl that will allow you to savor the flavor longer. After you sample each truly you will rank the chili on a scale. The tasting and judging will be a blind taste test. So you won't know who's chili your tasting. And yes we get the irony of a blind taste test ☺️.

Have questions or want to enter the competition?
All chili cookers must contact Brad Coon to enter the competition by July 29. You can also email Brad if you have any questions on the competition. Brad's email address is papa.ks.kafe at gmail.com <mailto:papa.ks.kafe at gmail.com>
