We were discussing this app this morning and all of the pros and cons. One thing that came up which might be an issue if people are not aware, the notifications. We are putting on notifications for our selected meetings to be five minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour beforehand. Problem is that these notifications will not be on Eastern time, there appears to be no conversion. So if the meeting starts at 11:30 Eastern time the notification that is set for 30 minutes prior Will come at 11 o’clock. The meeting however had actually started at 8:30 our time and so we would have missed it.
I found this by input in some of my own schedule which was not Convention related. I have put the actual times and found that even though I know the eastern times will need conversion, there is a huge discrepancy between the different meetings.
I think I love this app, it’s got great potential. There is just a few things we need to be aware of. It’s new technology but we will get it.

I have been playing around with the app crowd compass and even set up my own personalized agenda in the app. I’ve also sent a message to people that I see are also using crowd compass. I see some Phoenix chapter members that are on but not as many as I would like.

I highly suggest that you download the app right away and set up a profile. and then I can see that you’re participating in the convention and speak with you. You can even network with other people that are registered for this year‘s national convention and are using the app themselves. this app is going to make the exhibition hall more enjoyable for you as well. you can talk to people from around the country about their products or services just by participating. you can also go through the weeks schedule and click on the meetings that you would like to attend and personalize your own agenda. you can also get a reminder email within five minutes 15 minutes or even longer if you think necessary The reminder message should include the zoom link for the particular meeting you are interested in. if you’re having difficulties getting the app set up you can call me until about 230 today. After that, we will be discussing it tonight during the zoom meeting. i’m sure there’s other things you can do with the app to but those are the two big key points that I’d like to touch upon now. If someone learns something else now, please respond here. Again I think this is going to make the convention more exciting just by using this ap Kudos to national. If there was some award to be given out for a virtual convention of this magnitude, we should receive it. Sent from my iPhone
