> Dear Friends & Family of our Visually Impaired and Blind Community,
>
> Now more than ever, we must come together to “Maximize our Vision and Restore Hope!” amidst this pandemic chaos. The Phoenix VA Visual Impairment Service Team hopes you will join our 2020 VIRTUAL White Cane Day Conference this October 13-14. This two-day virtual conference will allow us to continue to learn and share resources and technology to better the lives of those in our visually impaired and blind community, to better understand the challenges that impact our Veterans and so many others during these unchartered times. Please mark this two-day event on your calendar and join us for any or all of the days’ interactive presentations.
>
> The Phoenix VA’s 2020 VIRTUAL White Cane Day Conference will take place on WebEx over the course of two days to allow 20-30 Exhibitors/Vendors the opportunity to share their newest information in half hour increments with our Veterans. These half-hour presentations slotted at specific times offered by the different exhibitors will provide a wide array of topics from which participants can choose to attend. We are asking presenters to comprise their 30-minute period of one part information sharing (i.e. Power Point, live demonstration, or even an already assembled YouTube video link (preferred), etc.) followed by an interactive questions/answers exchange for the remaining time. Attendants can logon to any scheduled session on WebEx for either the more visual information or simply phone in for the more descriptive audio presentation. If you already know your availability and would like to present, please feel free to respond early and indicate this in your email reply with a brief description, confirming your participation.
>
> Thank you in advance for marking October 13-14 on your calendars for this year’s VIRTUAL White Cane Day collective effort. More details to come!
