National Federation of the Blind of Arizona East Valley Chapter
Minutes
June 19, 2020

There is no meeting due to the Coronavirus (covid19) and the Pile adult 
recreation center located at 655 East Southern Avenue is closed till 
further notice. The chapter held a meeting by conference call instead.

Amar called the meeting to ordre at 12:33 PM. The NFB Pledge and One 
minute message were read. May's minutes were read and approved. Jenny 
gave a report about the treasury and we are giving $30.00 for pack. The 
chapter made $1,355.79 on the Rumba and the cost of the rumba was $250.
Checking account balance: $1,522.23

Jenny talked about an app called Zel and you can transfer money to and 
from individuals or businesses. There is no charge to use this app. You 
can either enter a person's email address or phone number to send the 
money. Tony and Jenny will check into more info about Zel. Tina brought 
up a concern about holding inperson meeting and Amar mentioned that is 
why we are holding the meetings over the conference line. Mark Feliz 
talked about trying the next meeting over zoom. Amar is trying to get 
the zoom information from Donald

Amar talked about the PA system. Tony will check with Batterys plus 
bulbs to see if the chapter can find a cheaper price for the batteries. 
Megan suggested we have a small group get together and listen to some 
of the convention sessions. Brad suggested we have some type of game 
night over rzoom. Brad will send Amar more information about the game night.

Amar talked about holding elections. Debi chatfield talked about how 
she does voting on out of site and they do online voting by a voice 
vote. Amar talked about the NFB national convention and the deadline 
for registration has past. The agenda for the NFB national convention 
will be out soon. Tony mentioned the fre JAWS offer is going through August.

 Tony gave an update on how Ruth is doing and she is recovering well at 
home. Matt gave an update on how his mom is doing and she is using a 
walker and having physical therapy.

Tony mentioned that is now mandatory to ware masks when you are out in 
public. The virus wil not be going away anytime soon!

The meeting was adjourned at 2:04 PM.
