Minutes
 February 15, 2020
President Homrighausen called the meeting to order at 12:30 PM. The 
NFBPledge and One Minute message were read.  Becca Stewart has a 
Youtube channel and to teach sighted people that blindness is not a  
tradgity. The youtube channel will educate the world about what we can 
do as blind people. The  youtube channel also has information about how 
to live your life if you have lost your vision.

November minutes were read. January’s minutes were read with the 
following corrections:the committees are:
Fundraising.
Social committee.
Communications Committee.
Membership Committee.
 Legeslative Committee and
Outreach committee.

The Treasurer's report for October was read. Begining balance is 
$2,476. In the caring fund we have $114.00.
Savings account: $12,639.82.
November’s treasurers report was read.
Ending balance: $1,39.18. Ending blanace is $1,953.18  Savings account: 
Savings account: $12,446.97.

December’s Treasurer’s report was read.
Ending balance: $1,923.18
 Savings account: $12,644.04.
January's Treasurer's report was read.
Ending balance: $1,594.75.
Savings Account: $12,644.0.

Mark Feliz recomended we have an established membership list and bring 
it to the meeting in March. The Senior devision  met on February 4, 
2020 at SAAVI. The next senior meeting will be on March 3, 2020 at 
SAAVI. The  Phoenix Seminar was mentioned and it was a success. The 
state board meeting was mentioned and the East Valley chapter wants to 
help with an appreciation dinner for the teachers of the visually 
impaired. The NFB of Arizona’s state convention was  mentioned and the 
dates will be September 17 through 19. The convention wil be in Tucson 
More information will be coming soon.

The NFB State board meeting in May will be on the zoom conferencing 
system. The zoom account for businesses is  $20.00 per month. Other 
options are being looked into as well as team talk and other services.

The East Valley pool party will be on June 20, 2020. The party will be 
at Megan's house and more  information will be coming soon. The 
Presidential release was played. The Washington Seminar was mentioned. 
The Braille Readers are Leaders contest was mentioned. A motion was 
made and passed to allocate $100 to  devide into $10.00  gift cards for 
the winners of the Braille Readers are Leaderscontest.

The committee reports were read.
Fundraising: Tony reported about several ideas including the suns free 
throws and other events  The committee will be checking on various 
restaurants to see about a  percentage of the meals.
The Phoenix chapter picnic wil be on April 4, 2020 at Incanto Park. 
Megan is going to try and get  Bryan Dilude from State Services for the Blind.
