Hello Miso:
Glad to hear from you. There will be a bus originating in the San Diego
area and ending up at the hotel. At this point the route has not been
worked out. El Sagundo just outside the LA airport. I believe people
living in the immediate LA area are planning on utilizing Access to get to
the convention. I will keep your request in mind but it would be a good
idea to have a backup plan.

Btw, the state scholarship application should be on the website this week.
Will you please help to distribute it to blind students on campus? Thank
you.

Take care,
Mary Willows

Hello,
Since Mary mentioned a shuttle in Southern California, I would like to know
if there will be one near Los Angeles, particularly near UCLA.
I am not 100% sure at the moment but I plan to attend this year's state
convention.
Please keep me updated on the logistics of transportation.
If the shuttle does not work out I plan to utilize either the access service
or bus system around LA since El Segundo doesn't seem too far from Los
Angeles.
Thank you in advance.
Miso Kwak

Hello All,

I am so glad to hear that the Orange County Chapter is becoming active
again. Thank you, Rob, for taking the lead on this and trying to be
enthusiastic about it. Robert Stigile has offered to come to the August
meeting and help answer questions and inform members about our upcoming
annual convention in October. This convention should be a lot of fun so we
want to try and make it possible for as many people as we can to be present.
There should be a bus coming from Southern California and picking up people
along the way. Let's try to make Anaheim be one of the stopping places.
Rob, would you and Robert work out transportation details?

Thanks,
Mary

Hello all: It is almost time for our next NFB of Orange County. The next
scheduled meeting is suppose to be on Saturday (08/09/2014) @ 10:00 am.
I
beleve I have found a meeting place. However, so that I can give this person
a decision as to if we are meeting this next month or not, I need to have an
(as much as posssible) accurate count as to who will be there. Our possible
new location is Emerald Court 1731 W. W. Medical Center Drive Anaheim, CA
92801. It is near the Fullerton train station and accessible to public
transportation and of course Access. lease let me know ASAP if you can be
there or not. I know it is in the middle of the Summer and some of you might
be on vacation. However, we need to if possible have a meeting so that we
can work on getting up and running as a legal chapter. I would like to see
us fully operational by September or at the latest October so that at state
convention in El Segundo CA, we can let everyone in the affiliate know that
Orange County Chapter of the NFB is up and running again. Please either call
me @(847)989-0768 or email me @; rcubfank at sbcglobal.net Thanks.

rob Kaiser.
