Hello,

Whether you are North or South, East or West, the Federation is the best! I'll bet many of us have blind friends, associates, or acquaintances in the Bay area. Jessica and I are so excited to be a part of the Bay to Breakers, Sunday afternoon Fun in the Sun, Saturday afternoon chapter meeting and forum this weekend in San Francisco. Why not forward the message below and the flier attached to everyone we know. Who knows who will join us if we invited them to live the life they want.

Meet NFBC
The National Federation of the Blind of California wants to meet YOU!
May 17 and 18

The National Federation of the Blind of California is on the move in the Bay Area! We are working hard every day to spread the word that blindness is not the characteristic that defines us. We strive to raise expectations of blind people because we know that low expectations create barriers between blind people and our dreams. YOU CAN LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT!

If you are blind, low vision, losing vision, a senior having trouble seeing, a friend or family member of a blind person, a professional in the blindness field, or just someone who wants a better understanding of blindness come meet NFBC. There are two exciting events coming up!

San Francisco Chapter of NFBC Chapter Meeting and Public Forum
Saturday, May 17 1:00-3:00
San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind
214 Van Ness Ave.
San Francisco, CA 94102
This is a meeting and public forum where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the National Federation of the Blind of California! Come with LOTS of questions!

Entrance of Pier 39
Come explore Fisherman's Wharf with NFBC. This will be a great opportunity to hang out and have a little fun with NFBC. We will have dinner and drinks at the Hard Rock and then set out to find cool stuff on the pier. From Sea Lions to street performers we will find something to amuse EVERYONE!
