Jim,

One of the many reasons I belong to this organization is because people like
you and Tim offer another point ofview. I wholeheartedly agree with your
point of view. I also think there is some degree of truth about my
perceptions. It seems to me the meeting of the minds is to implement a
different colored card that distinguishes it as a subsidized card. San
Diegans who meet the qualifying criteria for subsidized bus passes are
charged a seven-dollar fee to have their photo taken. Finally, It makes more
sense to mandate that every COMPASS Card holder is required to have a
photograph on their card. Also, it's another way for MTS and SANDAG to
generate revanew if everyone pays for a photo on their bus pass. What do you
think, Jim? Thanks for helping me to be a better person.

Lisa

Hey Lisa,

Isn't more likely that the message is "if the compass card is subsidized,
we're going to ask for additional proof that it's yours?"

If you buy a full fare card and loan it to someone else, they don't care.
If you buy a subsidized card and loan it to someone else, they very much
care.

Very curious to know how you see this.

Jim
