Subject: Request for Voting Systems Accessibility Testing Recruitment

 
The California Secretary of State, Office of Voting Systems Technology Assessment (OVSTA), is seeking volunteers from the Accessibility Community to assist with voting systems  testing.  OVSTA is recruiting registered voters with disabilities for two different test periods they are conducting. Please distribute the messages below to your advisory bodies and networks.
 
Elections Systems and Software (ES&S) EVS 5.2.1.0 Accessibility Testing
Each volunteer will be asked to test accessible components of ES&S’s EVS 5.2.1.0 for approximately one hour.  Seven testers will be needed each day.  The due date to sign-up for the first testing (ES&S) is June 22, 2017. The testing will be conducted on June 29 and 30, 2017 at the Secretary of State building located at, 1500 11th Street, 1st Floor Auditorium, Sacramento, California 95814.
 
Dominion’s Democracy Suite 5.2 Accessibility Testing
Each volunteer will be asked to test accessible components of Dominion’s Democracy Suite 5.2 for approximately one hour.  Seven testers will be needed each day.  The due date to sign-up for the second testing (Dominion) is July 13, 2017. The testing will be conducted on July 20 and 21, 2017 at the Secretary of State building located at 1500 11th Street, 1st Floor Multipurpose Room, Sacramento, California 95814.
