[nfbcs] Improving Audio

Hello,

I've seen enough questions on the list about audio that I hope my own
question is not too random. I have a batch of files whose sound quality is
fair at best. It's flat and tinged with a little radio hiss. Can this be
transformed? I know I cannot expect miracles, but a little bump in the
volume and a little more surround sound would be nice even if the hiss is
still audible. I have SoundForge 8 and 9. I've never bothered learning how
to use either, but if anyone has suggestions on how to manipulate the
software to do what I'm looking for, I'd be much appreciative. Thank you in
advance.
