IT Tester Position


Task Summary
The Accessible Solutions Branch in OSES is in need of an experienced 
Section 508 Policy Consultant to assist with coordinating efforts to 
draft the agency's Section 508 Policy and Procedures.  The individual 
will perform the following tasks in support of the agency's Section 
508 Coordinator. Will work directly with client to make their 
business applications compliant with Section 508 law and provide 
services in connection with the development and implementation of 
technology solutions.

Provide policy and process engineering support to maintain and 
improve the effectiveness of client's Section 508 Program:
Provide analytical and authoring support to develop and refine 
agency-wide policies related to compliance with Section 508, Section 
255 and Federal Acquisition Regulations related to accessibility.

Provide analytical support for improving client's Section 508 Testing 
Methodology.
Provide analytical support for improving the effectiveness of 
client's communication tools, including the agency's accessibility portal.

Develop processes to help our client improve the effectiveness and 
efficiency of Section 508 planning, design, development and testing 
activities throughout the systems development life cycle.


Preferred contractor qualifications:
    * Mid-level to advanced skill in developing enterprise IT policies
    * Strong experience baselining current processes and developing 
"to be" process improvements.
    * Strong experience documenting business process models.
    * Strong experience analyzing interpreting Section 508 
requirements across all IT domains (web, operating system, hardware, 
telecommunications, closed products, electronic documentation).
