Mike,
The <strong> tag is supposed to denote strong emphasis. It's a logical
style, meaning that the exact effect it has will vary a bit from browser
to browser. It can even be defined in a style sheet so that the
browser's default is altered. In any case, it's supposed to denote
strong emphasis. Think bold face, slightly larger text, that sort of
thing. The <em> tag is related, and denotes emphasis that isn't quite as
strong as <strong>.
