You can use programs & features in Windows 7 and go to updates to uninstall the update if it doesn't work well. IE9 is toward the bottom of the list.

Subject: [nfbcs] Before updating

I want to update to a later version of Internet Explorer, but I want to keep
a copy of what I have now, in case the upgrade turns out to be a bad idea.
Do I save a copy of IExplore.exe in a safe place, or is it more complicated
than that? I also see a file called IEDW.exe. Do I need that?
I'm assuming that good old System Restore will not regress Internet
Explorer, but if it will, that would be easy.
Thanks for any advice.
Tracy
