[nfbcs] OCR software for Windows

The loest cost OCR software I know of that is accessible is text cloner pro.
It cost $100.00 and works very well.

My Lions Club got a call from a blind woman who needs help with her
computer. Its running some version of Microsoft Windows. Probably XP. She
has a scanner but has no software for it. Does anyone have a recommendation
for free or low-cost OCR software for Windows?
