Can any of you help my friend with an answer to her question?

Subject: Talking Typer

Hello Everyone,

I'm sending you this email out of desperation. I have a friend who lost his
eyes in a car accident many years ago. He contacted me recently and wants to
learn how to type, use the Internet, and communicate with others via email.
He has little to no computer skills. I gave him my older MacBook Pro with
Snow Leopard to try out and see what he thinks of Voiceover. I gave him the
basic navigation keys, instructions on how to take the VO tutorial, and how
to access the keyboard help (VO+K). He used Talking Typer at AlphaPoint and
wants something like it but I cannot find anything. He wants something that
will say the letter or sentence and then ask him to type it. Do you all know
if any software programs like TalkingTyper for the Macintosh that are
accessible?

Thanks,
