I agree, the CanoScan LIDE scanner I use has been a workhorse and is very
portable. It fits along side my laptop in one bag and has been carried from
one end of this country to the other for the past five years. I also have
to say the LIDE has played seamlessly with three different OCR to screen
reading softwares seamlessly with the drivers readily accessible on Canon's
website when I have needed them.
