Hello Jude and everyone,
I heard that Arch Linux is very accessible. Which Linux screen
reader is best for this version. Speaking of Linux screen readers does
one have the issues with SMAS and other costs for maintaining the
software? I know these are open source but that's a way to "Get the hook
in" so the vendor can sell you add-ons, upgrades, etc. I'm not
complaining but want to understand how Linux screen readers differ from
their Windows counterparts.
We have a friend of ours that swares by Linux and is peaking
our interest in test-driving it to encourage us to switch to that OS
reducing if not eliminating the cost of software purchasing and
maintenance. If it makes sense for Fortune 500 companies to go the open
source route as a cost saving measure so it makes sense for Peter and
Mary Donahue to do likewise. We'll keep you posted on where this venture
goes from here.
