Start Menu, Control Panel, AutoPlay
Make sure that the "Use AutoPlay for all devices and media" checkbox is
unchecked. Tab through the different devices and set each one as you prefer.

Enter "autoplay" into the search box and go through the file types. You
might also want to enter "hide" into the search box and click on "hide
notification area"; you'll go thru a dialog where you can select what to do
with various systems (always show icons in the system tray, only errors or
never).

Subject: [nfbcs] USB window not opening

It used to be, when I plugged a USB device into my PC, it would
automatically open a window and ask me what I wanted to do: play the music,
view the pictures, view the files in Windows Explorer, take no action; that
kind of thing. Now, when I plug in a USB, nothing happens. It makes the
USB noise, and that's it. I'd google the problem, but I'm not sure what to
call it so I could find it.
How can I get my USB window back?
I'm using Windows XP, and Jaws 14.
Thanks.
Tracy
