Good afternoon everyone,

Windows 7 on Mary's computer upddated during the night. She observed that everything ran better since the update and was curious to see if the problem with "Computer" had cleared up.

Out of curiosity I tried and got the following results:

1. Computer opened up and I was able to log on to her "C" drive and enter a folder containing files I wanted to send to the recycle bin. After selecting the files and copying them to the clip board "Computer" froze. I exited and when attempting to reopen it the following message appeared "Remote procedure call failed." This was followed by the "OK" button being displayed. Every time the computer is rebooted computer will open the first time but if you try doing anything with your files it freezes and you must exit. If you try to reopen it again the message quoted above is displayed until the computer is rebooted again. The question is what is causing the remote procedure call to fail and how can it be prevented in the future. The last time it happened it was necessary to reload the entire OS. That's the latest on Mary's computer situation. Otherwise the machine works all right.
