Dollars to doughnuts the infection remains. When reloading machine it
will be a good idea to use dban from sourceforge.net to securely wipe
the hard drive once data is backed up and once data is disinfected. At
a boot: prompt that comes up when the dban cd starts enter autonuke 7
eject <enter>. Make sure that is the only drive in the machine since
dban understands autonuke to mean find every drive on the machine and
wipe it. Wait until the cd ejects and then it will be time to start
reloading the system using fdisk to set up partitions and then format to
format the disk and put a system on it before reinstalling windows and
your data.

After selecting the files and copying them to the clip board "Computer" froze. I exited and when attempting to reopen it the following message appeared "Remote procedure call failed." This was followed by the "OK" button being displayed. Every time the computer is rebooted computer will open the first time but if you try doing anything with your files it freezes and you must exit. If you try to reopen it again the message quoted above is displayed until the computer is rebooted again. The question is what is causing the remote procedure call to fail and how can it be prevented in the future. The last time it happened it was necessary to reload the entire OS. That's the latest on Mary's computer situation. Otherwise the machine works all right.
