[nfbcs] XP to 32-bit Windows 7

My office is getting ready to swap out my XP machine for a new machine
running 32-bit Windows 7.  Am I right in thinking that the terminal
emulation software that runs on my XP machine ought to run as well with
the new machine, since they're both 32-bit?
Has anyone run an Alva ABT340 on 32-bit Windows 7?  The Alva guys told me
it was hit-and-miss, but sometimes works.
