Thank you for the information. Is there another way to do it without
renaming the files? I am not going to rename all of the files, especially
since some of my playlists have over 500 songs and keep changing.

Hello Nicole,

I first would like to ask you what operating system you are using? Is it
MacosX or Windows? The exact instructions for this will be different
depending on which OS you are using but generally it will be the same. I use
MacosX and this works perfectly for me.

For MacosX:
1. select the playlist you would like to edit. In my case it was Fall out
boy.
2. Navigate to the menu bar and select the "View" tab and locate the "View
Options". Activate this option. On a Mac the keyboard command is "CMD j"
3. In this view you will see a few options for how the view of your playlist
is laid out. Currently it is most likely set to organize the playlist based
on artist which is ordered from the album you got the songs from most
likely. In this case it was the "American beauty American Psycho album"
4. You should be presented with a couple of options to arrange the songs by
artist or album in the form of pop up list boxes. Find the Artist option and
activate the pop up list. Once you locate this control scroll through until
you find the "Manual" option then activate it.
5. Once activated you should return to your playlist and begin arranging. To
do this on Mac it is pretty simple and will be different on Windows and even
different if you are using Window Eyes or Jaws. These instructions are for
Mac but the next instructions should work on Windows no matter which screen
reader you are using.
	A. locate the song you want to move.
	B. Move your mouse pointer to that song using (Function + CTRL +
Option + CMD + F5) it is basically the entire bottom row of the keyboard
from the left edge to the spacebar then the F5 key
	C. Once it has focus you will again press the same four keys on the
bottom row and add in the shift key followed by a press of the spacebar. The
command should be
(Function + CTRL + Option + CMD + Shift + Spacebar press) You should
have heard a click followed by your screen reader speaking "Mouse down".
	D. Now press and hold the VO keys (CTRL + Option) to navigate to the
place you would like the song moved to. You should hear a dragging sound
during this navigation. Once you locate the spot you want it moved to press
the same set of keys you pressed in step C. to un-click the mouse and drop
it there.
Just as a note the location you chose to drop your song in will be placed
below the title you hear. For example if I am dragging track 1 and want it
to be placed as track 3 I will need to navigate to track 2 and drop it.

Option 2 which should work on Mac and Windows no matter the screen reader:
1. Follow all the same steps above to switch the sorting option to "Manual"
2. Once in Manual sorting mode find the playlist you want to arrange then
locate the song you want to move. I say it this way just in case you have a
playlist you created and did not come from a CD or Album. Activate a "right
mouse click which is the "Applications" key in Jaws.
3. Navigate to the option "Show in Finder on Mac or Show in windows explorer
if on Windows. I am assuming that is what it will be called on Windows. You
just want to locate the option which will bring up the song in the
containing folder on your system.
4. Now right click on the title in Windows explorer and rename the track
with a number prefixing the track title in the order you would like it
placed in your playlist. For example I moved the song Centuries to number
one and the kids aren't alright to number 2 by placing a 01 and 02 in front
of the track name respectively.
Note if you already have numbers 01 and 02 prefixing songs you will most
likely want to rename these as well or you will not get a true arrangement.

That should do it for you. I know this seems like a lot of work but once you
enable Manual sorting of your playlist the rest is just a matter of you
ordering your playlist the way you want it. I know it is far from a single
keyboard command but it should work. Hope this helps.
