Hi all,

I am running JAWS 15 on a Windows 7 machine with cygwin (version unknown). I
have installed cygwin and have created ssh keys to include rsa_id files.
when I execute the ssh-agent command it appears to run and establishes a
process running. however, when I run the ssh-add command it says it is
unable to communicate with the ssh agent to add my keys. I have the exact
same keys setup on a linux box and execute the two commands and it works
just fine. What am I missing. I would really like to get this working for
two reasons. One, my project at work is using a git repo and it is a pain to
continually be prompted for my pass phrase on my certs when I interact with
the git repo. Second, I would like to see if I can get maven to work within
cygwin. The maven program appears to work fine, but my pom.xml file reaches
out to various repos to obtain artifacts and happen to be PKI cert
protected. If I can get the ssh-agent thing to work, I am thinking I will
not have the build of the pom.xml file blow up. I am wondering if part of
my problem is I do not have a .bashrc type file in my cygwin home directory.
Do I need / require this kind of file to get this to work? If so what should
my .bashrc file look like? It does not look like I have a default shell type
setup either. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

respecrfully,

Graham
