Well, I'm a unix guy, so I personally prefer to install cygwin and use gcc and friends. g++ for C++, specifically. Some won't recommend that because it doesn't generate native windows apps; the resulting executable depends on cygwin1.dll at a minimum. I don't care about that though. Joe
