Jim, 


You could try pressing the F6 key to cycle through the panes
until you reach the recovery pane. If that doesn’t work, you should be able to press
Alt F to go to the file menu, and then press the letter R twice. That will take
you to an open dialogue where you can open unsaved files. Also, check out this

That should work, but let me know if it doesn’t and I can
