Yes, I had the same problem as well. I also downloaded the latest version
from the fs web site and after doing a repair, It fixed the problem.  Just
allowing updates will not fix the problem.  You have to download the latest
version from the site.

Yeah, I had that same problem.  I did just download the newest installer
from the web site and it worked.  I think it did a repair and, when I
rebooted, it was the latest version.  Not sure why this issue is occurring,
though.

I have something wrong with JAWS 17. It said it could not update and I tried
to just do another install. That was a mistake. I'm glad I have an old
version. How can I uninstall it?
