[nfbcs] The Mac Beckens

Brian,
Thankfully I started with computers a long time ago. My first one was a TRS
80. As an Engineering major, I first learned to code with BASIC and then
FORTRAN. I then became an expert in the use of DOS and UNIX before I lost
my vision. Even now, I still haven't found the "perfect" operating system
to use. I have machines running Mac OS, Linux, Google Chrome, and three
different Windows versions. I was taught to fight malicious attacks from my
Ph.D. in Computer ?Science brother years ago. It does stake a lot of
diligent thought to learn to use DOS at the command line if you did not
learn that way initially though.

It does not matter what operating system you have if it is connected to the
internet it is susceptible to an attack. I will say this though, if I happen
to receive a virus on my Mac within a few minutes I will be able to track it
down and remove it. On a Windows computer there is an underlining operating
system that has never been conducive to allowing for easy navigation of the
system and where viruses would be running so it makes it much more
difficult. If anyone is a power dos user at the command line I am sure they
will have no problem doing the same but I would bet there are not too many
people out there that take the time to learn how to become power dos command
line users as people do with Unix based systems.

Go Devils!
