Our affiliate uses FreeConferenceCall.com as occasionally does Diabetes
Action Network. But we've never messed with the app so I'll be as interested
as you in responses.

Subject: [nfbcs] Question about FreeConferenceCall.com

I joined the NFB Crafters division which has lots of classes and a regular
Monday night chat.

They use FreeConferenceCall.com to hold all these phone-conference meetings.
Most people aren't technical, and they simply call in using a regular phone.

I'm guessing other divisions might use the same service, and I felt asking
this question on the Crafters' list wasn't entirely fair. I've had great
success using a regular phone, and also using my favorite soft phone app for
the PC (I run asterisk at home which makes this easy for me.)

But I also noticed FreeConferenceCall.com has a free app for the iDevices,
which of course means no long-distance charges and no minute charges. I
tried it out with yesterday's chat and the audio quality is superb; better
than using a telephone.

My only issue with the app is that it has several unlabeled buttons and
random things seemed to happen when I tried them. I didn't want to be
messing up the chat experience for others so I didn't try to experiment too
much with the app. Normally, I'd get in there and experiment, but not if it
affects others!

Has anyone here had experience with the app or knows someone else who has?
I'll go ahead and review it on Applevis.com too and see if others respond.

Thanks.
