No dream! You *did reply offline. I was just thrashing away at the issue for
a while and thought I'd give a general call. I'll try what you suggest here.
Thanks.

Dale,

I thought I replied off list but may have just dreamed that I did. Are you
in basic HTML mode? I could never find a way to import in basic html mode.
If you are not in Basic HTML mode, there is something called Contact Preview
that is new and I know that does not support export mode but am not sure
about import mode. Finally, if you are not in HTML view, you have to
navigate to contacts first before you can find the "More" button. That
means you have to expand the "Navigate menu" and arrow down to the Contact
option. Sometimes this works best with the Virtual Cursor off. Sorry if
you have tried all of this and explained it already.

I have also found that when I finally got to the Import dialog, I sometimes
had to route the JAWS cursor to PC and left click the Import button before
it would process. This is all a bit frustrating and I don't know where the
fault lies since Google has seemed to implement some accessibility features
on this new web page approach.

To add one more obstacle for you, I would be sure to try only a couple of
contacts first to make sure they import as you would expect. There are lots
of complaints out there on Googles import process with the lack of
information from Google as to how it maps columns. The Google contacts
structure is somewhat different than Outlooks, for example. It is more like
what one sees on IOS. Rather than specific fields for Home email and
Business Email, for example, it allows a variable number of email addresses
each with an associated email type. The same is true for some other fields
such as phone numbers and addresses. You are not supposed to have to know
this when you import from Outlook, but you could find, if you use a lot of
Outlook contact fields, that they don't map correctly. On the other hand,
maybe it will import perfectly. I understand that I'm getting the cart
ahead of the horse, though, as you have to find the button first.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Has anyone had success importing their Outlook Contacts to Gmail using IE11?
I am using Windows 7/JAWS 17 and I cannot find the More or Import elements
on the Gmail Contacts page as indicated in the instructions for importing
from Outlook.
Thanks.
