How the heck is it that I haven't yet received Mike's first message, nor
Tracy's from the list?

One *still* wouldn't be controlling the software, though.

If they really think it is a security risk, they should make a bootable CD
that uses electronic voices to tell you it is scanning, downloading updates,
repairing your PC. They could give you an online account for configuring
your preferences so the CD would know what it should do when encountering a
threat.

How I'd love to be able to leave work and boot a virus checker that would
just do its stuff overnight and then shut down my PC without needing my
input. Seems like that would provide access to more than just the blind!

Absolutely correct! I pointed this out to Curtis Chong this last summer. If
this is, indeed, true, then we must do quite a rethink on how we accomplish
antivirus tasks in general. Alternatively, Kaspersky might well be in for a
little courts-Civil Rights action. (har)

I heard some time ago that Kaspersky is not accessible, and they feel
accessibility is a security risk, so they're not going to do anything about
it.

Is anybody using this?
If so are there accessibility issues?
Thanks.
