[nfbcs] ms visual basic 6 on windows 10 64-bit

Hi all.

Has anyone out here ever installed ms visual basic 6 pro on windows 10
64-bit.

I'm replacing a laptop for one of the software developpers at my work.

Unfortunately it's my understanding that upgrading to a newer product like
ms visual studio .net for now at least is not an option as there is too much
code which would need to be re-written first.

For what it is worth I know it will run on both 32-bit and 64-bit windows 7.

I know when I got the product to work on win 7 64-bit I did some stuff with
compatibility mode, however; at the time I was not forward-thinking enough
to write these details down for future reference, smile!

Keeping in mind that I'm a computer support specialist and not a software
developer I figured I'd throw the query out on this list to see if anyone
here might have some wisdom to share.
