The short answer to your question is yes NVDA and Visual Studio do work 
together. I use that setup at work, and I don't have any issues.

The somewhat longer answer is that it depends on what you're trying to 
do with it. For basic development tasks, you'll have no problems. When 
trying to use other more advanced features, you might find that reading 
the screen takes a bit more doing. For example, some of the screen that 
have lists in them (like the compile status window) will work sometimes, 
and other times getting them to properly gain focus can be tricky. Not 
impossible, just tricky. The solution explorer and the code editing 
window work just fine. Designing GUI forms can be a challenge, but 
that's as much because of the fact they're visual as for any other reason.
