[NFBCS] strange site behavior

When I tried this site with Internet Explorer, these were not combos but buttons that expanded into submenus or whatever you call them. As I understand it, Windows screen readers sometimes lag behind VoiceOver on some of the newer controls in that at least JAWS doesn't always know when to just trust what was exposed. Brian, what I found was that if I pressed ENTER on the button, JAWS would say "expanded. Then, I made sure the virtual cursor was on by pressing the JAWS Key and plus. When the virtual cursor is on, you should be able to arrow to the various sizes, for example, and press ENTER to select. In the best of all worlds, turning the JAWS Cursor off completely on a menu like this should actually work the best but it does not seem to work on these menus, at least for me, with JAWS and Internet Explorer. Opening the menu and then using the virtual cursor seems to work. It is possible that turning off the JAWS cursor with JAWS KEY and Z, pressing enter and then using the arrow keys might work using Chrome, but I did not try that. It could also be that NVDA handles these better as well.

In many cases, VoiceOver and Safari or even Chrome under IOS handle some of these things better. I just had a case on a different web site, though, where the control was a combo, and while I could select the choice I wanted with my iPhone, I could not seem to tell after that which one I had selected. Than combo worked perfectly for me under Windows and tabbing to the control spoke what I had chosen. Although I'm more of a Windows user, I admit that, I think it is hard to clearly say which system works best in general.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

I tried the site using a Mac mini, running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, and Safari 12.1.2, using VoiceOver.
I had no issue accessing combos, and found they responded as expected.

Hi,

I've tried explorer, firefox and chrome.

Could someone check out this site and try to navigate the combo lists?

list?

Thanks,
