Pre-Orders for Canute 360 in the UK
We've followed the progress of this desktop Braille device, allowing display of music, graphics and text. It is a joy to see that it is about to become a reality. Buyers in the UK are invited to pre-order, and people outside the UK will have similar opportunities later:

To accommodate the display technology that is used, line spacing is much greater than that for paper braille, perhaps one inch. The device is luggable, and refresh of its nine lines takes a few seconds. The good thing is that this device is not vaporware like some other displays; it is going into limited production.
There should be more information at the Bristol Braille Technology website.

I see the developers of the Canute braille display got a Balotin award.
Was there any news about the Canute announced at convention?
I want this thing, and would really like to hear some concrete news about when it might actually be available.
