Charles,

I do not know anything about the environment in which you are working in, but there are some things to consider if you are hearing that right-clicking should work.

If you are using JAWS, sometimes arrowing through a page does not necessarily move the focus to the control being spoken. Sometimes moving back through a page by a line or two and then pressing TAB until you hear the control you want will work. Once you do that, pressing the applications key, usually just to the left of the RIGHT CONTROL key, may bring up the menu that is being referenced by the right-clicking instructions. SHIFT F10 generally will duplicate the Applications key. If that does not seem to work, try turning off the virtual cursor completely with INSERT Z and then tabbing back and ahead to be sure you are focused on the desired control. Then try the Applications key again.

If that doesn't work, try routing the JAWS cursor to the control with INSERT NUMPAD dash and then pressing NUMPAD Asterisk to emulate a right mouse click. These keys will be different if you are using a laptop layout.

One of these methods might bring up the right-click menu you are mentioning. There could be a more efficient way of dealing with this in general, though, that others having specific experience with this environment can offer.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Subject: [NFBCS] Azure mssql:

Morning:

I have had access to mssql in the past via menues. They have now moved to a
html based method of controlling the database with the new release of Azure.
This is fine when it comes to controlling tables, adding and removing data,
. My problem is, how do I setup things like auditing of servers and other
server controls? I am having issues selecting some of the controls and,
having what they say should be popping up as a result of right clicking and
item, isn't popping up. When I go into security, auditing, auditing criteria
and right clicking, a menu just popps up with "refresh". Is there any way,
as a blind user, that I can control server level functions? Thanks and any
urgent help would be appreciated.
