[NFBCS] Seeking mentor

Good afternoon everyone,

Count me in too. This is an awesome idea! I want to do serious work
with Amazon Web Services in 2021. Some of AWE'S services require a knowledge
of C++ and Python. Since my wife Mary works from here twice weekly session
recordings and code examples in a textual format would be very much
appreciated. Might I also suggest that these could also be hosted on an
NFBCS Website. I'll look forward to participating in 2021. All the best.

I am also looking to learn python and C++. In no way am I trying to hijack
your thread, but just throwing this out there as an idea. What if a small
group of students and teachers, volunteer of course, joined together to
learn these different skills?

Two people have already replied saying they would be interested in helping
and, including myself, there are now also two people interested in learning.
If everyone were comfortable with it, we could even record these training
sessions for others to use as reference in the future. What does everyone
think of this idea?

I was or will be creating this exact same email to ask the list shortly
anyway. I have just been working to get the different flavors of Linux I
want up and running first to have a nice environment to learn to code in. I
could definitely get started with visual studio until I get things fixed
with Linux though. Just as the original person that emailed, I am also
interested if anyone has any accessible resources for these programming
languages. :)

Thank you everyone and Happy New Year,

-Reece
