Hi Renee,
I have some questions about your laptop.
Have you or someone else been able to visually see what is on the screen when you are using the command?
If you believe there is something on the screen that JAWS is not reading, try to use convenient OCR to verify something is there.
Is this a company imaged laptop? Maybe there is a policy that is blocking you from doing the command line.
Another possibility is many companies have implemented virtual desktops. I once worked for a client where individual applications would launch in a virtual desktop. This configuration will probably not be accessible to JAWS.
That's all I can think of for now.
Regards,
Steve

Subject: [NFBCS] JAWS cursor not reading
Hello friends and colleagues
I was wondering if anyone has had this experience.
I have been using different client and interfaces that ran from a command line and required me to use the JAWS cursor to read the screen.
When I updated to a new laptop and Windows 11, the JAWS cursor no longer reads or tracks the screen.
I thought maybe it was as simple as a setting but I haven't found it yet.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated Thank you
Renee
