Hey people: This can be a confusing topic but since I teach this every day,
let me help.
FireFox is and has always had the engine Gecko which is created by Mozilla
hence the full name Mozilla Firefox and is VERY different than the 2
chromium based browsers most use which is Chrome and Edge. Might as well
add a side note here. Chrome is being plagued with hackers so make sure you
check your updates EVERYDAY--ALT F then e to help and enter and enter on
about and it will auto update, when done close and reopen
Edge is far more accessible as it has built in immersive reader so when you
go to a cluttered page you can press F9 and insert down arrow and smile big
as it leaves only the text you want-- F9 to go back to full page
While I am giving info: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc, etc. have
the Blink engine and are chromium based
That is a lot of info but I will also tell you that if you are taking a
foreign language Firefox is the way to go as it conflicts with Chroium
based browsers
Hope that helps
