Hello Brian,

I am sorry, I do not understand your instructions. Anyway I am unwilling to figure it out.

My Windows 11 Mantis using office products works great.

I am not going to try.

Subject: Re: [NFBCS] Mantis Q40

Hi Louis,

I just got my Mantis about a week ago and been working with support pretty much since day 1. Having issues with Library app crashing and device freezing. Support was able to reproduce the Library crash after I sent them the text file I was trying to read; so it is some parsing issue. The freezes are harder to reproduce, but I figured out a process that gets to the result. I sent this procedure to them on Thursday and waiting on a response. The thing is, my 30 day refund option is ticking away so I'd really like to know if it's only my device so I can decide to swap it for another one or do a refund. If you can give this a try and let me know that would be great.

1. Make sure firmware 2.6.0 build 5120
2. Change the setting: ask to open USB connection = ask for connection
3. Shutdown Mantis with no USB connected
4. Power on Mantis
5. Open the Editor. No need to create a file or anything. Just let it open and press ESC
6. Connect USB to a Windows 11 computer and Windows will see It. The message asking to open USB in terminal app should not appear. If it does appear, disconnect the USB and dismiss the charger disconnected message. Wait a few seconds and reconnect USB cable. You might need to do this a few times; usually happens on the first or second try.
7. When you finally are able to connect without getting a message asking to open terminal, this game is almost over.
8. Disconnect the USB and you should not get the charger disconnected message as you also did not get the open terminal message.
8. Go to power off and press enter and you should not get a response
9. You can proceed to scroll through other menu items, and some will respond but the device should become sluggish and lock up within a very short time.

Let me know. Hopefully you will not be able to reproduce this.

Brian
