¿Sabía usted que  no ha habido una nueva superestrella ciega Americana desde 
Stevie Wonder, y José Feliciano?  Y, si está pedido nombrar a las mujeres 
ciegas famosas, la mayor parte de nosotros puede pensar solamente en Helen 
Keller, que murió hace más de cincuenta años.  .  Puesto que una presencia 
fuerte en los medios de comunicación está ayudando a otras minorías, la 
División no lucrativa de las Artes Interpretativas (PAD) de La Federación 
Nacional de Ciegos (FNC), intenta asistir a la gente ciega que busca ejercer 
en metas relacionadas con las artes interpretativas. Queremos saber más 
sobre las experiencias de intérpretes ciegos y con deficiencias visuales.

¿Quién debe participar en la encuesta? Cualquier persona que es ciega o 
tiene una debilitación visual severa que ha intentado desarrollar sus

incluye a los músicos, actores, cómicos, bailarines, locutores, ingenieros

sobre sus experiencias, y pensamientos.

PAD ofrece becas a estudiantes ciegos con área principal de estudio   en las 
artes interpretativas, financiadas con la venta del "Sound in Sight" (Sonido 
en Vista) un cruce de compilación de género de dieciocho gravaciones 
musicales donadas por artistas ciegos.
