Baltimore, Maryland (6 de mayo del 2009): La Federación Nacional de

Ciegos, la organización más Antigua y más grande

a escala nacional de Norte Americanos ciegos, comentó hoy respecto al
lanzamiento por Amazon, Inc. de una nueva

versión de su dispositivo de lectura electrónico Kindle. El nuevo Kindle
tiene

una pantalla más grande que en versiones previas, y se está poniendo en
venta
por

Amazon cómo plataforma potencial de la exhibición de los libros de texto

para los estudiantes universitarios de tercer ciclo.



El Doctor Marc Maurer, Presidente de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos,

dijo: "Nos aterra que Amazon está lanzando un nuevo dispositivo de Kindle

aparentemente para el uso de estudiantes, que no contiene las funciones

que lo hacen accesible a los ciegos. Mientras que este nuevo dispositivo
tiene la
